LANHAM, MD, June 13, 2007 -- The Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) awarded its 2007 Distinguished Service Award at its 30th Anniversary Annual Conference, June 7-9, 2007 in Baltimore, MD. The Distinguished Service Award was established in 1987 and recognizes meritorious service by any SVU member. William W. Harkrider, MD RVT FSVU, New Iberia, LA, received a Distinguished Service Award for his dedicated and loyal service on the SVU Board of Directors for six years as the first elected Physician Director.
